Sub-Zero refrigerators are beautifully engineered, expensive to replace, and — when something goes wrong — often misdiagnosed. We see the same three or four failures over and over: start-relay assemblies, evaporator fan motors, condenser fan motors, and drain-line ice plugs. All four can be corrected in a single visit.
What’s different about a Sub-Zero repair
- Dual sealed systems on BI-series, 600-series, and 700-series — a failure on one side doesn’t necessarily mean the other is ill
- Electronic control boards are integrated with the grille — a routine repair involves pulling the grille, not the entire unit
- Condenser coils behind the grille need cleaning every 3–6 months; a dirty coil is the most common cause of “my Sub-Zero isn’t cooling”
